Habitat for Humanity Elects New Officers
Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity (GNHFH) has elected a new President, Vice President, Secretary, and Acting Treasurer.
Nashua resident Chris Fabri, Director of Solutions Engineering at Synergis Software has been elected president of the Greater Nashua affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International; Mont Vernon resident Rob Liscord, a recent graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and part of the management team at Mulberry Tree Builders, was elected Vice President. Wilton resident Caryn Mayo, a former president of the Wilton Main Street Association was elected Secretary. Hollis resident Nora Boyle, a retired IT Director (Digital Equipment Corporation, Manufacturer’s Services, and Celestica), Office Manager and Chair of the organization’s Finance Committee was elected Acting Treasurer. As Office Manager, Nora Boyle will lead all communication efforts until the organization’s new president appoints a Chairman of Public Relations.
Outgoing president Ed Lopez decided not to seek re-election after serving one term as president. During his single term as president the organization expanded its operations and acquired its first paid staff member: Director of Resource Development Leah Shuldiner.
“I feel very confident GNHFH has positioned itself over the last two years to take on a much stronger role in Greater Nashua: to build more homes and to continue developing programs that will help increase energy efficiency, revitalize neighborhoods, and provide the financial infrastructure necessary for more consistency in these efforts. The newly elected officers bring an exceptional level of professionalism, diverse experiences, and strong strategic vision to the organization. Nashua and its surrounding communities will have strong partners at Habitat for Humanity’s helm: community leaders willing to work to improve neighborhoods and to help lead the way as well as support officials willing to do this work in these municipalities,” Lopez said.
Lopez, who has relocated to Portsmouth, is a member of the Jon Huntsman for President New Hampshire Steering Committee. In September, Lopez was elected National Vice Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus. Lopez will be focusing on management and public relations consulting work and will be concluding his doctoral work this fall at Durham University.
