Duane Rolfe, 65, is charged with second-degree murder in death of sister, Judith Rolfe, 66.

UPDATED AT 4 P.M.: Nashua Police Chief John Seusing and state Attorney General Michael Delaney have announced that Duane Rolfe, 65, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his sister, Judith Rolfe, 66, who was found dead at her Belmont Street home Saturday.

For many years the Rolfes together owned and operated the family business, McDonald's Kitchenware, a small shop at 7 Factory St.

Lt. Michael Moushegian said police arrived at the residence at 8 Belmont St. just after 10 a.m on Jan. 19.

WMUR reported that a neighbor witnessed police escort someone from the scene Saturday morning, a man who appeared to have blood on his clothing.

Police were extending yellow crime scene tape at the entrance to Belmont Street at Elm, and also from a light pole across the street from 6 Belmont St., at about 2 p.m. All remained quiet outside the light blue two-story residence throughout the afternoon – just the sound of the police crime van engine idling, and the occasional flutter of wind chimes hanging on a side porch, next to some bird feeders.

The home is located at the corner of Belmont and Elm streets, directly across from Elm Street Middle School. According to city property records, the home is owned by Judith Rolfe, who is also listed as the owner of McDonald's Kitchen Store, a small shop on Factory Street. The Rolfes ran the store together, according to this story published last year by the Nashua Telegraph.
