Car Gets Wedged Underneath Tractor Trailer

Did you witness this accident? State Police would like to hear from you.

State Police have released a preliminary report on what caused an accident Nov. 15 that resulted in a car becoming wedged under a tractor-trailer on the Everett Turnpike.

The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Everett Turnpike, near Exit 4.

Upon arrival State Police found that a 2005 Honda Civic, driven by Evon Hoang, 26, of Nashua,  become wedged underneath a 2006 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer driven by Roger Crete, 52, of Manchester.

Hoang was taken to Southern NH Medical Center with minor injures. Crete was not injured.

State Police said Hoang attempted to swerve around an object in the roadway and changed lanes quickly, which caused the vehicle to become wedged under the trailer section of the tractor-trailer.

Crete felt the impact of the crash and told police he immediately slowed the truck and moved into the breakdown lane, dragging the vehicle along for a short distance.

Police shut down traffic to several lanes while the Honda was removed from underneath the tractor.

State Troopers were assisted on the scene by Emergency Personnel from the Nashua Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. The travel  lanes were reopened around 3 p.m.

The investigation is being conducted by Trooper Joshua Quigley of the NH State Police – Troop B.  Anyone with information about the collision or subsequent investigation should contact Trooper Quigley at 603-666-3333
