City Man Stiffs Inn for Bill After 8-Week Stay
Scott Colby is charged with theft of services, racking up more than $1,500 in charges, according to the hotel.
Scott Colby, 40, of 2 Progress Avenue #370, Nashua, was arrested Jan. 28, charged with theft of services, a class A felony.
On January 11, 2013, at approximately 1:58 p.m., the Nashua Police Department received a report of a theft of services from the Fireside Inn and Suites, 10 St. Laurent Street. Detectives learned that Colby allegedly failed to pay a remaining balance in excess of $1,500 for use of a room at the Inn between the dates of November 14, 2012 and January 10, 2013.
A warrant was issued for Colby's arrest.
A Class A Felony is punishable by up to 15 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, exclusive of fines. Colby is being held at the Nashua Police Department on $200 cash bail, pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on February 19, 2013.
