Police say Zachary Granger threatened another man during a domestic dispute.
Zachary Granger, 18, of 91 Palm St., Nashua, was arrested Feb. 24 at his home, charged with Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, class B felony, after allegedly threatening another man with a knife.
Police were called to the Palm Street residence at 8 a.m. on Feb. 24 for a domestic-related complaint. Contact was made with Granger there, and after an initial investigation, Granger was arrested by patrol officers.
The incident was further investigated by detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division. Granger is charged with threatening an adult male victim with a knife. The altercation occurred in the residence that morning. The victim was not injured.
The class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment,
exclusive of fines. Granger was being held on $10,000 cash or surety bail
pending an upcoming arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.

I propose that we enact some "common sense" restrictions on knives by banning the following features from any knife available on the civilian market:
- blade sharpened to 25° or less
- handle that can be gripped in more than one position
- hilt
- full or partial tang
- any sheath or clip that can potentially be used to carry the knife concealed
- a tip sharper than a medium-sized ball-point pen tip
- any serration that represents 20% or more of the blade
- clip-point, spear-point, or drop-point blade style
- a shoulder thing that goes up

All you clowns might want to notice that *NOBODY DIED HERE*. Nobody was even injured here.
One difference between guns and knives is that guns are a lot more effective and a single person with a gun can rapidly *KILL* (not injure, kill) 27 or more people whereas a person with a knife would have a hard time accomplishing that same task.

--Unless you live in China where you can't get a gun
A series of uncoordinated mass stabbings, hammer attacks, and cleaver attacks in the People's Republic of China began in March 2010. The spate of attacks left at least 25 dead and some 115 injured.

Yes, here in America we routinely have mass stabbing attacks leading to mass fatalities.
Fail.

No -- Pass
As I was talking about China, not America, but Richard Speck and Charlie Mason's gang come to mind quickly

You have to reach all the way back to Speck and Manson to make your point? One only needs to reach back to last week to find a gun massacre.

You have to reach all the way back to Speck and Manson to make your point? One only needs to reach back to last week to find a gun massacre; nowadays, we have them about every week!

Mr. Atlant
Can you list the last 6 weekly "Massacres" or are you just counting incidents involving guns as "Massacres"?
If so, then it would make sense to change tightly gun regulated Chicago's nickname from the "Windy City" to "Massacre City"

Of course the obvious irony is that the best way to stop someone that is coming at you with a knife is to draw a gun and aim it at them....
