Hassan – and Ice Cream – Draw Crowd to NCC
First stop of Maggie Hassan's Ice Cream Social Tour drew upwards of 100 to hear her take on the issues.
More than 100 people turned out today at Nashua Community College for an ice cream social hosted by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Maggie Hassan, of Exeter.
Hassan said the goal of the tour is to continue her grassroots outreach to voters – and ice cream lovers – across the state. It includes stops in Portsmouth on Sunday and Dover on Tuesday.
"Whether it’s in a living room, local diner, or at one of our Ice Cream Socials, we are continuing the New Hampshire tradition of taking our campaign directly to voters," Hassan in a statement. "I’m looking forward to having some ice cream with old friends and new ones as we talk about why I’m running for Governor, how we can stand up to the extreme Republicans who want to move our state backward and how we can move New Hampshire forward in the future."
