LETTERS: Skeptical of UNESCO Methods, Motives and Mantra

World government organization threatens our Constitutional Republic.

Dear Nashua Patch:

In a recent letter to the editor published in the New Hampshire Union Leader, Ms. Jean M. Bernard assured New Hampshire parents that the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO, and their non-governmental affiliate the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB), were American as apple pie. Essentially, Bernard dismissed critics of the global education she promotes as being negative and parents should trust her.

Let‘s look at UN/UNESCO history:

After 67 years of promoting world government in our schools, why should we be surprised that our schools have eliminated God and attacked the Christian foundation of our heritage? Our teachers have been forced into a “change agent mold," to program our children’s minds with new loyalties, teaching our nation’s history without a biblical foundation. Education without God is a flagrant violation of truth, especially in science and history. Therefore, one generation after another graduate with almost a total ignorance of our Constitution and how our Founders intended posterity to use it to “chain the government.”

Apparently, Ms. Bernard thinks that because UNESCO’s education sector is grounded in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights or its successor the UN Covenant of Human Rights UNCHR, that this makes it as rock solid or even superior to our “Constitution’s Bill of Rights.” Only a nation of people educated in our government schools would believe that. For the UNCHR rewrote the meaning of three fundamental freedoms that are essential to a free government: “free speech, press and religion.”

Compare the UN Covenant with our “Bill of Rights where in the First Amendment, it says: “Congress shall make no law against these rights that Jefferson in our Declaration of Independence, emphatically declared that ”we are endowed by our Creator, meaning human rights come from God, not government.” Would you not prefer that our schools taught the wisdom of the “Bill of Rights” that recognize that human rights come from God and “Congress shall make no law against these rights?” Read the “Bill of Rights.” Compare the totalitarian concept of the UNCHR below. Look at Article 14 of the UN Covenant where we are told … everyone has the right to freedom of expression, but a few lines down this is qualified with special duties and responsibilities and restrictions as are provided by law … Section 15: Freedom to manifest ones religion or beliefs may be subject to certain unspecified restrictions “as provided by law.” Section 19 and 20 offer the same, restriction on liberty of opinion and peaceful assembly are offered but restricted by law.

In fact, all the rights outlined in the Covenant may be legally denied if in the opinion of a politician it is necessary to protect national security, public safety, health and morals. UNESCO and IB are products of the UN. The reason our educators ignore these totalitarian concepts that “government is the source of human rights,” is they are a product of “government schools we call public” that they have a vested interest in. We must stop this passing from one generation to the next a “rubber stamp” product: Citizens who advocate more and more government at home and a world government system to replace the Constitutional Republic we have been blessed with.

Sincerely & Respectfully
