Man Charged After Lake Street Stabbing

Isaac Cora faces a felony assault charge.

 

Isaac Cora, 38, of 8 Fulton Street, Apartment A, Nashua, was arrested Jan. 19, charged with first-degree assault, a Class A felony; and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, following a stabbing incident earlier that night.

At about 9:40 p.m. Nashua Police received a report of an assault in the area of 42 Lake St. involving a knife. Officers were met by a man who had suffered a stab wound to his right leg. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and released. The victim and the
Cora are acquainted, police said.

Cora was found a short time later nearby and arrested.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Cora is held at the Nashua Police Department on $25,000.00 cash pending arraignment at 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
