Mark Your Undead Lecture Calendar for Oct. 18

Register today for this exploration of vampires in film and literature.

Vampires are everywhere in popular culture today – from Twilight to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, and The Vampire Diaries. They appear in horror stories of course, but did you know that they are also used to address provocative topics, from sexuality, death, and disease to addiction, adolescence, and immigration? And why has the vampire morphed from a figure of evil to a handsome, self-hating outsider who wants to consort with humans?

Join Sue Weaver Schopf from the Harvard Extension School as she explores these questions in her lecture, “Vampires in Film and Literature,” at the Nashua Public Library on Thursday, October 18, at 7 p.m.
