Nashua Telegraph and Holdings to be Sold

Publisher announced Friday that the publishing company is for sale.

 

The new year means transition for The Nashua Telegraph newspaper, as its parent company, Independent Publications Inc., announced its intention to sell the paper as soon as possible, according to this Telegraph story.

Telegraph publisher Terrence L. Williams made the announcement Friday.

Pennsylvania-based Independent Publications Inc. will also be selling its other holdings, including the Cabinet Press, which publishes the Cabinet (of Milford), the Hollis Brookline Journal, the Bedford Journal and the Merrimack Journal.

Williams said the paper will continue to serve the community and publish its daily and weekly publications, while continuting to expand its web-based site.

Perhaps, when and if the Telegraph is sold, the new owners will run it like a real newspaper. I quit purchasing/reading that rag a long time ago..
