Incompetence on a Presidential scale.

Truth be told the Republicans Are the ones that can avert this sequester.... Republicans are under the illusion that if the sequester goes in to effect It will give them some kind of political advantage.... Midterm congressional elections are coming up in two years .... More tea anyone ?

Sequestrartion was the Presidents idea in the first place. Maybe people are sick and tired of democRATS always blaming someone else.

The jury's still out on sequestration.

Seequestration falls onto the shoulders of the Republicans, their baloney caused this and they own it. My family will lose almost a weeks pay a month if the Sequestration goes through and you can be sure that we and others effected know excatly how and why it happened. Local businesses will lose money spent by federal employees who work in NH as well as Massachusetts, and it will be no small amount. Not to mention the fact that federal money lost to our local school will be picked up by local taxpayers, since some of the programs that are effected are federally mandated.

The raw numbers really don't help much. What is the overall percentage reduction in funds coming from the Fed to NH? Overall in the country it is a 2.3% reduction from what was planned (not from the previous year's spending; it is actually a reduction in the increased spending, not an absolute cut). Is this a 2.3% cut for NH? 1%? 8%?

Since Obama took office, the Federal budget has gone up 17%. The American people have had to do with less during these tough economic times.... The Fed can do so as well...

Isn't the reason the nation is in these financial straights is because during the years of the previous administration, we had two unfunded illegal wars, a drug benefit for seniors which was denied the right to negotiate prices with the drug companies, and tax cuts. Whoever heard of having taxcuts during war time? Then the economy collapsed, and millions have lost their jobs and tax receipts have fallen because so many are out of work and at the same time the government safety net is being used and stretched to its limits costing us even more expense without the money to pay for it. Taxes are the lowest since the 1950s. What we need to do is close the loopholes, and stop the corporate welfare to big oil, big pharma, big agriculture, and make the rich pay their fare equal share.

Obama,do not trust you at all. Let the sequesture begin.

Whitehouse has been distorting the facts. As stated in an earlier post this is cuts in "planned" spending. The NH departments will just have to live within their current means like the rest of us. Don't trust our Socialists in chief or his new lackies in NH state gov't, especially our new govener who is already trying to raise our taxes with yet unapproved gambling revenues.

Atlant: The man you elected is lying to you - when you cut only 2% off the planned increases Obama sounds like the world will come to an end. This country will spend 6o Billion on Sandy relief; certianly we can cut 85 bil out of the entire government. And this is only the beginning of the many cuts that should be made in his bloated " I want all your money" plan. I cant call it a budget because he never had one.
Atlant: You need to stop drinking the Kool Aid from Washington and start thinking for yourself. You cant do what Washington is doing in your own personal budgets. You would go broke in a week. Why are we allowing them to spend so much ??
