Funny story - a woman stopped by and was looking over the John Birch literature. I asked for her name and she said Patricia Humphrey. I said any relation to NH Senator Gordon Humphrey - she said yes. I said OK - how closely related to him are you? She said - He's my husband. I said - that's close.
Sen. Humphrey served two terms as U.S. Senator from 1979 to 1990.
Patricia mentioned that she remembers 40 years ago when the John Birch Society was active in New York City.
