TEAM EARLEY's Leprechaun Leap is a 5K run-walk event held on Sunday March 10th in downtown Nashua just before St. Patrick's Day weekend. This professionally timed race will have a common start and finish line located at the Liberty bell crosswalk at 100 Main Street. Pre-race activities (registrations, number pick up, race-gear sales) will conducted in the courtyard area of the Nashua Public Library. Race-day registrations will be available from 8:00-9:45AM. The race will begin with a short runner's parade leaving the registration area down Park Street to the starting line on Main Street. In true Irish-style the parade will be lead by bagpipers.
The race will be a unique out and back 5K course heading north on Main Street towards Greeley Park and returning back down Main Street to the finish line. The downtown course promises to bring hundreds of spectators to the streets of Nashua to see the Leprechauns Leap for victory.
Post-race actives will be conducted back at the library courtyard. The post-race ceremony will begin at 11:30AM with awards being handed out for the top runners in each age category. Prizes will also be handed out to the best-dressed Leprechauns. TEAM EARLEY has partnered with O'Brien's Sports Bar - 118 Main Street Nashua, to host the after-race party and raffle event. All race participants (21 years and older) will receive a free beer ticket and are welcome to join us for some traditional Irish celebrations.
All of the proceeds from this event benefit the Melanoma Foundation of New England dedicated to educating the public about the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer. For more information on TEAM EARLEY’s Leprechaun Leap please visit www.teamearley.org .
