someday the powers that be will understand that the nickel and diming of middle class workers willRead Morel ead (is leading) to the destruction of the country. we are the consumers, the ones that make a good strong economy, and keep America strong. its not the wealthy who create jobs..its the middle class with money to spend that grow the economy and create jobs. honestly, how much worse does it all have to get?

Really!!?? I'm pretty sure it's about saving lives and not control. I can't count how manyRead Moreaccide nts I have avoided because someone was more involved with their phone glued to their ear than driving...I think it is MY RIGHT that you hang up and drive your car. If you want to talk on the phone get off the road. Take a taxi or a bus and talk on the phone all you want. It comes down to common sense and common decency...period.

Of course we have an idea. We determine it the same way we always have, through independently runRead Moresu rveys. As far as tracking it through the website, first the website couldn't help track it since the exchanges are only a small part of the equation. Second, the exchanges ultimately rely on the private insurance companies to complete the process, so they would have had to even ask the question and then send the results back to the government, which would have been a lot more difficult. And ultimately, there is a law that basically says that the government can't even ask questions outside the scope of process at hand, which that tracking would have been. And for your final question, who do you think pays for it now? Paying the residual 10% would most likely be a net savings over the costs we incur now.

misinformation??? Why would Barry want a website that DOESN'T TRACK those that signed up whetherRead Moreth ey previously had Health Insurance that was cancelled ?? (You know, the Insurance that Barry repeated 37 times with the LIE OF THE CENTURY "If you like your Doctor and HealthCAre plan YOU CAN KEEP THEM" Why can't they tell us who has paid?? This isn't rocket science. it could have been as simple as a few mandatory questions to be filled out on the application. Doesn't this administration want the process to be transparent??? It obvoulsy isn't so WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO HIDE???

Amazing how quickly people revert to personal attacks and innuendo when they are losing anRead Moreargument. When they have the facts re who signed up and who paid it will be available.

Where are the "Personal Attacks" in what I wrote George L? Why aren't these figuresRead Moreavail able NOW? Why did the website that cost over a Billion of our tax money not work when they launched it? Why would they schedule maintenance for the website on the last day to sign up for this trainwreck? If you think this is a joke this is not .We were on our way to get an icecream which cost us 1.8Read Moremil lion dollars for a broken leg This accident was not properly investigated and because we were under insured and sued by a non insured who won the case and since we are not rich to afford a real lawyer only the lawyer the insurance company supplied us which was a joke because they paid the 100 thousand and washed their hands clean but I bet if we had an umbrella ins and a million dollar liability there would have been an investigation then . We are elderly and have lost all our savings and now our house because of this but at the same time thankful no one was seriously injured or disabled or killed. .So please get yourself informed about how your insurance works and also your Rsa 480on homestead in Nh We will continue to help many especially in Nh where you can drive without ins or even worst being underinsured and not know it Crazy!

There were 11 "TO DO" points listed. But for three, I don't see that these are designedRead Moret o 'advance the Republican agenda'. If they ARE, and these are NOT part of the Democratic agenda, then the country is in more serious trouble than even I thought. For those who haven't looked at the video, those 8 non-partisan (IMHO) of 11 points are as follows: Stop the Party Civil War (With an X through the elephant AND the donkey). ~~Get our budget back on track. ~~Gain lost respect of folks abroad. ~~Get our credit rating back. ~~ Curb the NSA. ~~ Hold people in DC to account. ~~ Stop the IRS from targeting. ~~ Check some program’s crooked greed. If the Democrats do not and cannot subscribe to those items, they SHOULD be voted out.
Brian Utterback February 18, 2014 at 08:31 PM
JimC, you are deluding yourself if you think that it makes any difference if the cause was protests Read Morefrom a video or not, that is just your own biases showing through. It doesn't change anything as far as culpability, which you yourself admit. It is ironic that while saying it does make a difference you make a statement that shows that it doesn't. Most of the items in the video are symptoms not the cause. First, the party civil war is almost entirely the result of Republican policies and strategies. It was done on purpose by Newt Gingrich and Tom DeLay and what we have now is the result. They wanted to polarize the parties and they did. The others, the budget, respect, credit rating even curbing the NSA are not the root cause of any of our current ills. The IRS targeting thing was never even a problem, it was a made up issue. And I don't know what holding them account even means.

Ok, come on. There was a serious weather event. No kidding the streets are bad and lives could be Read Moreimperiled from both the conditions and an arrested ability to respond as fast as possible; natural disasters happen. The cost and effort it would take to keep to the road condition standard implied here during a weather event like we just had would not only be high but it would also put people in danger, not the least of which are DPW employees; hence the concept of a "state of emergency" declaration. During such times everyone needs to take extra caution and probably deviate from their normal activities so as to reduce the likelihood of putting themselves into a situation requiring emergency services. This is just common sense. So unless there is some kind of grossly negligent decision or action by DPW staff, or some sort of serious under funding, how can you possibly be angry at DPW or NPD?

Did you not see the part on their site where it says "Happy Dogs is licensed with the State of Read MoreNew Hampshire Department of Agriculture and all dogs entering the state have met the state requirements for being transported and adopted." Or this that was listed on ALL of their listings on PetFinder..." Our veterinarian in New Hampshire will see your dog again upon arrival and your dog will have a 48-hour state mandated quarantine. Our veterinarian will examine your dog, perform a fecal exam and re-issue a second health certificate prior to your taking your dog home. Your dog will reside at this facility, which has medical staff on hand 24 hours a day" No need to start bashing organizations that help dogs in need. Many of us that have received dogs from them are more than happy and are glad to help.
Future_Author January 30, 2014 at 11:14 AM
I didn't bash anyone - just bringing up points for others to ponder. Their site says nothingRead Moreabout dogs being re-seen but just that after you pay the money, they'll be in touch with transport dates and times. Their "adoptable pets" part of the Happy Dogs USA site does say as you've stated above Who is their vet and where do they quarantine? I don't set the rules but believe everyone and every group should be held accountable to follow them. Humane Society of United States is one who pushed thru the federal rule with USDA/APHIS that anyone transporting "site unseen" (meaning you don't see the actual, physical animal before you pay any money or take possession of the pet) needs to be federally licensed now - so go yell at them :) Rescues and shelters, IMHO, should stop being so quick to say they are being bashed and just put everything up front (which, btw, they should also let people know any donations or "adoption fees" for their group or dogs are NOT tax deductible because they are NOT a 501(c)3 Non-profit for this state is totally different Again - no bashing but stating facts )
Kristen Hamblett January 30, 2014 at 02:00 PM
If you read what I said, I said that on all of their listings shown on the PETFINDER.com site, itRead Moresa ys their vet sees them and they are put into quarantine.....does it really matter who the vet is?? Also, I don't see it anywhere on their site where they even mention that anything you donate (or the the adoption fee) is tax deductible, whether people assume that or not, is their own issue. I don't know who would be that petty to try and use an "adoption fee" as tax write off...it's a dog, a living creature, a member of someones family...not some random donation you made to the Salvation Army of worn clothes or what not. And again, on all of their listings on Petfinder.com, they state on the bottom that they have a 501(c)3 pending. I regret posting this now. Had I known someone who has a stick up his/her butt would be arguing back and forth with me on this, because they obviously like to argue about any little thing or they just feel like they have to pinpoint every little flaw in everything (fact or no fact), I never would have done it. I am more than happy with how our adoption turned out through Happy Dogs, and would adopt again through them in a heartbeat.
