Come see over 500 competitors from across the country as they compete in forms, sparring and creative competitions at the 2013 New England Winter Taekwondo Championships, hosted by ATA Martial Arts of Bedford (voted 2012 #1 Martial Arts Studio in the Souhegan Valley and 2012 #1 Small Business in Bedford NH) with schools in Bedford and now Derry NH.

Grand Master In Ho Lee (9th Degree Black Belt and head of the American Taekwondo Association) will be the guest of honor and an exciting day of martial arts competition is planned.  This wll be his first visit to the Northeast. Competitors include all belt colors and levels and all ages. The tournament begins at 8 AM with competitions by the 4th and 5th degree Black Belts (you need to see this to believe it!)  Special Abilities competitions will begin at 10:15 AM along with the youngest competitors.  The formal Opening Ceremony with Grand Master In Ho Lee will begin at 11:15.  Please come join us for an action packed day!

In Ho Lee Short Bio:

In Ho Lee (born 1955) is the third and current Grand Master of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). Grand Master Lee, a 9th Degree Black Belt, is the leader of the world's largest martial arts organization, headquartered in Little Rock, Ark., since 1977.

Grand Master Lee was born in Seoul City, Korea two years after the end of the Korean War. He began to study and practice Taekwondo as a young boy. In 1976, following a year of military service, Grand Master Lee joined his brother, and the ATA’s founder, Eternal Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee in the United States.

Grand Master Lee is well known for his dedication to training and physical fitness. He has been a champion of The President’s Challenge fitness program, and encourages all ATA members to continually improve their level of fitness.

Grand Master Lee was inaugurated during the 2011 Songahm Taekwondo World Championships. The Inaugural Ceremony was held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
