When one door on Main Street closes, another one opens.

Art With A Splash
is a Bring Your Own Beer (or Wine) paint-and-sip art studio ready to open downtown August 15 at 11 Main St. in Nashua.

Painting classes will be taught by local artists and customers can enjoy the beer or wine of their choice while creating a work of art. No experience is necessary.

Art with a Splash is a family-owned business with one studio in Portsmouth, NH, started by local artist James Wiren, and his wife, jewelry designer Joanne Wiren, along with their daughters, Kelly and Kate.

“Nashua is a great location for a paint and sip studio, said Kelly Wiren. “We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to try painting in a fun, social, non-threatening way so they can truly get a ‘hands on’ art experience."

Classes will be taught by Wiren and his daughters, as well as other local artists, who will walk customers through the designated "painting of the night" step-by-step during a two to three-hour class.

Prices range from $25-$40 which includes all materials. Customers can bring their favorite beer or wine.

“We really want to be the kind of place a group of girl friends, couples, co-workers and families can spend a few hours trying something new and affordable” said Joanne Wiren.

Art with a Splash will be open Thursday – Saturday evenings and will also offer classes during the day on Saturday. Please visit their website for a calendar of upcoming sessions and to book a class, or you can call 603-427-8251 or send an email to artwithasplash@comcast.net

I think that's an excellent idea...but why are only women pictured here? It almost gives the impression that it's a chick thing.
