Bellwether Community Credit Union Names Volunteer of the Year and Leadership Award Recipients

MANCHESTER, NH – Bellwether Community Credit Union (BCCU), a not-for-profit financial institution, has named Scott Bobbitt as its Paul C. Wenger Volunteer of the Year Award recipient, an accolade that recognizes an individual’s dedication to the credit union. The organization also honored Gloria Bouchard with the Richard D. Mahoney Leadership Award, a distinction that recognizes a member of the Board of Directors or Management Team that has exemplified outstanding leadership.

As a previous member of the Advisory Committee and newly elected member of the Supervisory Committee, Bobbitt works with other members of the Supervisory Committee to oversee Credit Union operations from a risk management and credit union compliance perspective, and manages the relationships with external auditors.  Bobbitt has demonstrated a strong commitment to credit union governance through active engagement at various levels of BCCU’s volunteer governance.

Bobbitt has over 20 year of experience in modern dentistry and currently owns his own practice in Nashua. He is also actively involved in the community and shares his experience with many organizations. Bobbitt is currently the Unit Treasurer and a Committee Member for Boy Scouts of America. He is Past President of the Academy of General Dentistry New England Master Track Program and held the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary for the Nashua Dental Society.
