5 Things: Abe Lincoln is Trending. Honest.

Final push for Election 2012, and then it's all over except the vote counting.

1. Everything's Coming Up Abraham Lincoln: Honest Abe is trendy, it seems. As the subject of Steven Spielberg's new movie, "Lincoln," our storied president is getting rave previews (watch the trailer here). Then there was this past summer's "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," which gave our distinguished president a sort of hipster Buffy/Twilight vibe. And of course, this weekend, SNL guest host Louie CK put his own spin on Lincoln, turning him into a stand-up comedian Bonus Lincoln tidbit: Now, Ancestry.com has made a genealogical connection between Abe and George Clooney, who is reportedly a half-first cousin, five times removed.  Lincoln’s mom, Nancy Hanks, was the half-sister of Clooney’s fourth great-grandma, Marry Ann Sparrow.

2. Final Countdown: Tomorrow is Election Day, and the candidates are making their final push for your vote. We have Ovide Lamontagne in Nashua this morning at BAE systems, Maggie Hassan in Nashua at noon at Martha's Exchange, with Gov. Lynch. We have Tagg and Ben Romney in town for their dad, at 3 p.m. at the GOP Victory office on Amherst Street, Charlie Bass will be having his annual spaghetti supper at the VFW on Quincy Street at 5 p.m. tonight, and Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick campaigning for President Obama at 6:15 p.m. at the OFA-NH office on Main Street. And of course, Mitt Romney and Kid Rock will be in Manchester tonight for a big official finish to the 2012 campaign season, with a rally at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

3. 'Wreck-It Ralph' and the NH Connection: Disney's newest, "Wreck-It Ralph," topped the chart with a strong opening weekend, $49.1 million, breaking the record for the biggest debut for a Disney Animation Studios movie (not including Pixar titles), a record previously held by 2010's "Tangled." What we love most is the NH connection – Bedford's own Sarah Silverman, who provides the voice for Vanellope von Schweetz, a pint-sized "glitch" in the system.

4. Star Wars: Who's Your Daddy?: Riffing off the famous Darth Vadar line we are as geeked out as anyone about the George Lucas/Disney deal, which means Star Wars will live on forever, via Disney magic, and Star Wars sequels, 7-10 and beyond are already taking shape. You can hear more via the YouTube clip of Lucas talking about his "big universe" here.

5. Writer's Night Out: If you are an aspiring writer, you should come out to Martha's Exchange tonight for this great event, sponsored by NH Writer's Project, which has been a great incubator for many New Hampshire authors, incuding Jodi Picoult and Dan Brown. Here are your details.
