America Cares Fundraiser at Margaritas

Join us at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, 1 Nashua Drive in Nashua, NH on Wednesday, September 11 from 4:00 to close. Margaritas will host a Noche Mexicana Fundraiser and donate 15% of pre-taxed food and beverage sales from participating families, friends and supporters to America Cares, a local organization that provides gifts of comfort to families of fallen soldiers.

 Guests can choose items from any of our menus, takeout orders included.

The success of the fundraiser is dependent on you and your supporters and getting as many people as possible to attend. Here are just a few promotional ideas that have proven useful in the past and are sure to help make your event a success!

• Have a representative of your organization contact local newspapers weeks in advance to see if they might put a notice in the paper for you. Most newspapers run weekly calendar sections and would be happy to publicize any non-profit event.
• Publicize your event in a newsletter or special mailing to your supporters. Please include us in your mailing(s) and/or send us a copy of your newsletter.
• Contact your supporters via email.
• Post the event on your web site as well as any other web sites that might support you. Blogs can be used as well.
• Print flyers and ask merchants to post them in their shops.
• Contact a local radio or television station for a free mention.
• Start a calling chain to personally request attendance from your supporters.
• Post the event on Facebook, Twitter and any other social media network that you and/or your organization and members utilize.

Get your pre-designed templates for flyers and handbills from Margaritas, fill in the name of your organization and get the word out at least 30 days prior to the event. Remember, the more people who you get to come in, the more money your organization gets back in return!

Make sure that your guests understand that they need to let the host at Margaritas know that they are there to support the fundraiser event to enable their check to count toward the fundraiser.

Guests who are fundraiser participants will need to present a Fundraiser Handbill to their server to enable their check to count toward the fundraiser. If they forget to bring a handbill we will provide them at the host stand when you arrive; just let our host know you wish to participate in the fundraiser.
