Quaint stores and cultural events aren't the only reason downtown Nashua is so hip. Imagine walking along Main street on a Saturday night, the weekend of Halloween, and you come across a group of young men in their mid 20s, strutting along, one of them in a diaper. A grown man sporting Huggies; from waist up he was dressed stylishly – button-down shirt, blazer and a sailor's cap on his head; waist down was missing a pair of pants.
I was downtown, celebrating with my friends, and as I noticed the young men in front of me they also immediately recognized me. I had witnessed a similar incident earlier in the year involving the same group. It was a strange sight then – a naked figure rollerblading past me, in nothing but tighty-whities. I rememeber clearly, it was a Sunday morning right infront of the Farmers market, and it caused quite a stir amongst the shoppers. I was curious, so I immediately followed them to find out what on earth was going on.
This time around the Halloween diaper man, Pete Boisvert, requested that I take a picture of his shameless attire, and report it on the Patch for all to see. He had lost a bet and he wasn't ashamed of it. As he posed for the picture with his friends, I thought to myself this would be quite fun to write about. I'm sure it will get a few raised eyebrows or chuckles at the least.
