Synchro Stars Score Silver at Wallace Spring Synchronized Classic

The Synchro Stars Synchronized Skating Teams, representing Gate City Figure Skating Club of Nashua, NH, brought home silver and bronze medals for their Beginner 1, Beginner 2 and Open-Juvenile team at the March 8 Wallace Spring Synchronized Skating Classic in Fitchburg, MA.

Teams from Texas, Canada, New York, and New Jersey joined local competitors at this end-of-season competition. The Synchro Stars Open-Juvenile team, consisting of 16 skaters ranging in age from twelve to seventeen, placed 2nd. Their Cars themed program has brought the team three medals this season. Beginner 2 also won silver medal and Beginner 1 brought home a bronze medal.

Synchronized skating is a highly technical form of team skating characterized by speed, accuracy, intricate formations and transitions. Teams of 8–20 skaters perform side by side on the ice. Many people compare it to the Rockettes on ice.
Try-outs and placement clinics for the Synchro Stars 2014-2015 season will be held on the following dates:
Skaters aged 8 and above, Freeskate 1 thru Senior Moves-in-the-Field.
• March 22 (11:10 - 12:40, Conway Arena, Nashua, NH)
• April 6 (4:30-6:00, Cyclones Arena, Hudson, NH)

Skaters aged 5 and above, Basic 4 and above.
• May 4, 4:30-5:30, Cyclones Arena (Hudson, NH)
• June 7, 11:10-12:10, Conway Arena (Nashua, NH)
