Charles Patrick Hagan Jr., 47, BG Teacher, Church Organist

Memorial service Jan. 18 at Good Shepherd in Nashua.

Charles Patrick Hagan Jr., died Friday January 3, 2014 at his home in Nashua, NH. 

Born September 24, 1966 in Jacksonville, Fla., he was the son of Charles and Margo (Fowler) Hagan Sr., of Powder Springs, GA.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Clara and Albert Hagan and Margaret and W. Cletus Fowler.

Patrick received a BA from Kennesaw State University.  He was an organist and choir master at various churches in Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA and Nashua, NH and most recently at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua, NH.  Patrick had also taught choir and English at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, NH, as well as piano at the Nashua Community Music School.  He had also directed the Festival Singers of Atlanta,  and in Nashua, he had taught knitting at “The Ewe’ll Love It” Yarn Shop.

Besides his parents, survivors include his brother, Timothy Hagan and wife, Melissa; and his sisters, Meg Hagan, and Mary Ann Manson and husband Andrew; also five nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St., Marietta, GA, on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at the Resurrection Garden on the church grounds.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A reception at the church will follow the burial.

Visiting hours will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Friday January 17, 2014 from 4:30 – 7 p.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  A Memorial Mass will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Robert Odierna from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 214 Main St., Nashua, NH  03060 on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11 a.m.  A reception will follow services.  

Donations may be made in Patrick’s loving memory to the: Music Department at the Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 214 Main St., Nashua, NH  03060 or to the charity of one’s choice.  The Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH  03064 is in charge of arrangements.

Visiting Hours for Patrick Hagan, Music Director and Choir Master, will be held on Friday, January 17 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd in the Parish Hall Auditorium. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following in the Parish Hall Auditorium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the CGS Book of Remembrance to benefit the church's Music Program.
