Doug Dubuque Sr., Longtime Hudson Police Officer

MANCHESTER, NH -- Douglas "Doug" Conrad Dubuque, Sr. age 47, a resident of Manchester, NH, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013. He was the husband of Renee (Gasbarro) Dubuque.

Doug was born in Lowell on May 4, 1966, the beloved son of Conrad A. and Lorraine M. (Desruisseaux) Dubuque of Lowell.

He received his early education at Ste. Jeanne d'Arc School in Lowell and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. Doug went on to attend UMass Lowell where he received a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He began his career in Law Enforcement with the Hudson Police Department on August 1, 1989. Officer Dubuque graduated from the 88th New Hampshire Police Academy in 1988. During his 22-year career in the Hudson Police Department, Officer Dubuque worked as a Patrolman, Legal Services, Detective, and as a School Resource Officer at the Memorial School in Hudson. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Law degree from Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, MA and passed the Bar Exam in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Doug was a devoted father who spent all of his free time with his children. He coached baseball for the Pawtucketville Youth Organization and was also an assistant football coach at Alvirne High School in Hudson. A large part of his life included musical instruments and music. He played many instruments including the drums, guitar and banjo. Doug will be remembered for his love of family, his musical abilities and for his love of football.

Besides his wife, Renee and his parents, Conrad and Lorraine, he is survived by three sons Nicholas, Nathan and Sonny Dubuque; a sister, Kristine (Dubuque) Ortega and her husband Al of Mansfield; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

There will be no visitation. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, August 14, at 9 o'clock at the Parish of St. Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, contributions in Doug's memory may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854. Arrangements are in the care of the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell.
