Mona Volonino, 85, Former Inspector for Sanders Company

Mona S. (Bradbury) Volonino, 85, of Lowell, Mass., died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Willow Manor in Lowell.

She was married to the late Ralph D. Volonino, who died June 25, 2011.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Bradbury. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1947.
Mona was employed as an Inspector with Sanders Company in Nashua until her retirement in 1991.

She was an avid card player. Mona enjoyed reading and sewing. Mona loved the Patriots and the Red Sox. She had a fond love of flowers and the color purple.

Mona was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford, and past communicant of St. Michael Church in Lowell; where she sang in the church’s choir.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Daniel Volonino of Haverhill, Mass., as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, and several dear friends.

She was the sister of Philip J. Bradbury of Virginia, and Monica Weir of Methuen, Mass., both now deceased. Mona was the sister-in-law to the late Anthony, Angelina, Peter, Josephine (Desmarais), and Patricia Volonino.

Wake will be Jan. 21 9-10:30 a.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home in Chelmsford, Mass., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
