Osherov was charged initially with domestic violence/kidnapping, Linehan said. More charges will likely be added, following a full joint investigation between Nashua and Manchester police detectives.

Update 7 a.m.: WMUR is reporting via Twitter this morning that the stand-off is over, the suspect surrendered to police and is in custody, and no injuries reported. We'll update you as soon as we have details.

Original story 6:15 a.m.: An abduction of a Manchester woman led to a police stand-off at Motel 6 in Nashua late Monday night, according to WMUR.

Some guests were evacuated from their rooms at the motel, just off Exit 5 on the Everett Turnpike, on Progress Avenue.

WMUR is reporting that the stand-off began after a man abducted his girlfriend in Manchester at gunpoint around 10 p.m., and the two ended up at the Motel 6.

Police in the early hours were reportedly in contact with the abductor, according to WMUR, and a heavy police presence was visible at the motel.

Nashua police confirmed Tuesday morning that businesses located around the Motel 6 on Progress Avenue will not be open until the situation is cleared. Employees of those businesses can contact Nashua Police at the main number, 594-3500, to see if their work place is affected.
