Woman Injured After Car Skids Off Turnpike Ramp

State Police responded to a call early Sunday morning.

A woman suffered minor injuries after her white Jeep Grand Cherokee slid off the Exit 8 ramp to the Everett Turnpike just before 6 a.m. on Jan 6.

State Police Sgt. Steve Callinan of Troop B said the woman was going too fast when she attempted to enter the turnpike via the southbound ramp as she left  Somerset Parkway.

"Her vehicle went about 30 feet down an embankment into some snow and she cut her hand on broken glass as she exited the Jeep," Callinan said.
