On Thursday at 8:25 p.m., a Hollis patrol officer overheard a woman crying in the parking lot of the police station. The officer went outside to investigate and found a 48-year-old female who was distraught and crying. She advised the officer that she had been threatened by her husband.
After a subsequent investigation, John D. Doyle, 52, of Main Street in Hollis was arrested and charged with criminal threatening, a Class A misdemeanor. Police allege that Doyle threatened his wife's life during an argument.
Doyle was subsequently released on $2,000 cash/surety bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 27 at 8:15 a.m. in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division.
