Jury Pool Tainted by Publicity, Says Gribble Attorney

A convicted killer in a high-profile murder did not get a fair trial due to too much publicity, his attorney argued Thursday before the state Supreme Court, WMUR reports.

Christopher Gribble, convicted last year in the 2010 "thrill kill" of wife and mother, Kimberly Cates of Mont Vernon, a Nashua nurse, pleaded sanity. He was convicted of first-degree murder. On Thursday Gribble's attorney argued that extensive pretrial publicity of the case tainted the jury pool, and Gribble's request for a change in trial venue should have been granted.

Currently Gribble is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
