Main Street CVS Evacuated

Crime tape has been placed around the front pillars and the store has been evacuated following a robbery.

Nashua Police are investigating an early morning robbery at the CVS on Main Street.

Lisa Laughton, who lives in the building directly across the street, said she looked outside just after 7:30 a.m. on March 25 and saw about seven police cruisers in the lot.

"They've evacuated the store and are putting crime tape up around the front pillars," said Laughton.

Nashua Police Lt. Michael Moushegian said that police were investigating a robbery, but had few other details to share including whether there were any injuries.

Police dogs were called in from Chelmsford, Mass., to assist in searching the area for a suspect, according to a police scanner post on Twitter. A "Code 100 Green" went out just after 6 a.m. according to the scanner feed, which alerts police to a robbery in progress.

Laughton said she was surprised to hear it was "just a robbery," given the crime tape.

"I would think something big happened as when they have been robbed in the past there was not tape," Laughton said.

Stacie Laughton took some photos of the scene across the street from their upstairs apartment window showing the parking lot of the normally bustling pharmacy empty, except for several uniformed officers and police cruisers.
