Man Arrested in Meth Investigation

The New England Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team busted two meth labs.

Nashua police said a city man was arrested and charged with making methamphetamine at a Lake Street address April 23, part of an undercover operation targeting meth labs and illegal drugs.

Stephen Briere, 37, was also charged with theft by unauthorized taking, Nashua police said.

He was apprehended when members of the New England Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team executed a search warrant of 52 Lake St.,, Apt. 2A.

The Lake Street meth lab bust led investigators to another location, and the undercover operation and investigation is continuing.

The manufacturing of methamphetamine is punishable by up to 30 years in prison. Briere was held at the Nashua Police Department on $75,000 before arraignment.
