Man Charged After Whacking Another Man on Head with Board

Michael Fink was held pending arraignment today in Nashua District Court.

Michael Fink, 30, of 507 Broad St., Nashua, was arrested Dec. 18, charged burglary, a class A felony, and first degree assault, a class A felony.

Police said at approximately 3:11 a.m. on Dec. 18 dispatch received a call for an assault which had just occurred within an apartment at 23 Temple St. Officers learned that Fink had entered an apartment through an unlocked door and then struck an adult male several times with a blunt object, believed to be a wooden board. The victim sustained injuries to his head and required medical attention at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. The injuries were non-life threatening. The victim and Fink were known to each other.

A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Fink was held at the Nashua Police Department pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit Court - Nashua District Division on December 19, 2013.
