Mom Charged with Manslaughter Released on Reduced Bail

Unique Gould was released on bail last week.

Unique Gould, charged with manslaughter in the death of her 2-year-old son earlier this year, has been released after her bail was reduced, from $100,000 to $10,000.

According to this report by the New Hampshire Union Leader, Gould posted bail on Aug. 14.

Judge Jacalyn Colburn granted a motion to amend Gould's bail conditions, which now include  a 7 p.m. curfew and no travel outside of New Hampshire. In addition, Gould is to have no unsupervised contact with any minors and refrain from using any drugs or alcohol.

Gould was arrested April 25 after medics arrived at her home to find her 2-year-old son, Devon, unconscious. Gould later admitted to police that she had struck the child repeatedly on his buttocks and at least once on his head before blacking out.

Her son died two weeks later while hospitalized in a coma.

Gould is due back in court on Sept. 24.
