Motorcyclist Injured in Crash at Main And West Hollis
Another late-night accident in which a motorcyclist appeared to suffer serious injury.
A motorcyclist was injured late Friday night in a crash at Main and West Hollis streets.
Stacie Laughton, who lives in an apartment along Main Street said she heard a loud bang at about 11 p.m.
She went down to the street where she could see the overturned motorcycle in the center of the intersection with heavy damage, and a dark-colored van off to the side, with minor damage.
She said she did not see the crash, but said that it appeared the motorcyclist suffered serious injury.
Laughton said the high-accident intersection seems to be getting worse, and wonders what the city can do to improve safety at the corner.
"Something needs to be done. It's getting worse," Laughton said.
No information was available last night from police as to the identities of the motorists or injuries sustained.
