Nashua Man Arrested for Domestic Assault

Police: Theodore Whitley was also wanted on a felony fugitive from justice charge.

A local man who was arrested yesterday morning is being held without bail on a number of charges, including simple assault, allegedly against his girlfriend.

Theodore Whitley, 34, of Digital Drive in Nashua, was arrested at 6:43 a.m. on July 24, and charged with three counts of domestic violence-simple assault. He was also arrested on being a fugitive from justice, a felony.

According to an arrest report, patrol officers were called to the hospital to speak with a woman who was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend. The woman reportedly told officers that while in her apartment, her boyfriend, Whitley, allegedly pulled her hair and pushed her face to the floor several times.

“The female party sustained minor injuries to her face,” according to Lt. Denis Linehan of the criminal investigations division of the Nashua Police Department.

The officers learned that the boyfriend was Whitley, found him at home, and arrested him, after speaking with him about the incident, according to the report. The officers later learned that Whitley was wanted in Massachusetts on a probation violation warrant related to a previous assault and battery charge, and added the fugitive charge. He’s being held without bail awaiting rendition back to Massachusetts.
