National Night Out Event on Aug. 5

The Nashua Police Department invites everyone in the community to the 31st annual National Night Out.

The Nashua Police Department invites everyone in the community to the 31st annual National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event scheduled for Aug. 5.

The program is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 5. It will include a family swim and information work shops at the Boys and Girls Club at 47 Grand Ave.

Events will include live entertainment, face painting, family activities, games, information on safe neighborhoods and speak with members of Nashua’s anti-gang program. The event is free and open to everyone.

National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the Nashua Police Department, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua, and the Nashua Police Athletic League. It will involve over 15,325 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and 
military bases around the world.

Nashua’s two Target stores are a sponsor for the evening and will have a number of staff on hand to assist with the program.
