Overnight Fire Burns 7 South Groton St.

Nashua Fire Department was called to 7 South Groton St. Around 3 a.m. to a fire in the upper level of the two-story home.

Heavy smoke was showing when firefighters arrived. They quickly vented the roof and heavy flames took hold of the right side of the house. As of 3:50 am fire was still showing through the roof. And numerous firefighters were busy on scene.

All occupants of the house reportedly got out of the home safely and around 3:40 am a family cat came running out and took off down the rail trail.

South Groton Street runs parallel between Ledge and West Hollis streets connecting Havana and Manilla streets.

Few details are known at this time, but Patch will bring updates as they become available.
