Pair Charged for Taking Cashless Cash Machine from Shell Station

Roland Dion dumped the machine in the woods after allegedly taking it from the gas station, authorities said.

Two men were arrested Dec. 12 in connection with the theft of an automated teller machine located at a Nashua gas station.

Roland Dion, age 27, of 75 Kinsley Street, Nashua, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking. [Name Withheld], 27, no fixed address, was arrested on an electronic bench warrant during a motor vehicle stop. Police received information that both men were involved in the theft of a car wash automated teller machine from the Shell Gas Station, 270 Main Dunstable Road.

Nashua Police furthered the investigation and ultimately charged Dion with a class A felony theft for stealing the automated teller machine and dumping it in a nearby wooded area. [Name Withheld] was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another to theft, a class A felony for assisting Dion.

The value of the teller machine is about $15,000. There was no money in the machine at the time of the theft. A Class A Felony is punishable by up to15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Dion’s bail was set at $25,000.00 cash bail and [Name Withheld] refused bail. Arraignments have been scheduled for December 13, 2013 in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court Nashua.
