Clerk Beaten in Robbery At Lake Street Market

Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Lake Street Convenience at about noon Thursday, in which a clerk was beaten by a robber.

Nashua Police Lt. Francis Sullivan said a white male about 6 feet tall, with a thin to medium build, entered the store at about noon brandishing a metal object that may have been a tire iron.

Sullivan said the robber repeatedly struck the clerk with the weapon, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

Sullivan said the clerk was able to struggle with the robber and escape from the store.

The robber fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police remained at the scene, described by Sullivan as an active crime scene. Two detectives and two police cruisers were parked outside the store as of about 3 p.m.
