Police Investigating Discovery of Razor Blade in Candy Bag

Nashua Police say parent reported trick-or-treating in the area of Broad Street.

Nashua Police are investigating a report of a razor blade allegedly found in a candy bag following trick-or-treat on Thursday night.

According to a press release sent out by Nashua Police late on Oct. 31, parents inspecting their child's candy bag after they returned home from trick-or-treating in the area of Broad Street found a single, loose razor blade mixed in with the candy.

"The parent reports specifically traveling the following streets: Navaho Street, Denise Street, Carroll Street, Greenlay Street, Marie Avenue, Luke Street and Bailey Street," police said. "The incident happened between 6 and 7:30 p.m."

Parents are asked to carefully inspect and check their children’s candy and bags for any suspicious items.
