Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Ran Over Motorcyclist

Police seek an SUV or sport utility vehicle that may have run over a motorcyclist's legs following a crash.

NH State Police seek a hit-and-run driver who left the scene of an accident Oct. 17 on the Everett Turnpike which left a motorcyclist injured.

Just before 11 a.m. State Police Troop B received calls for a multiple vehicle crash involving a motorcycle with personal injury in the southbound lane by Exit 3.

Upon arrival all lanes of travel were closed  due to the fact that the motorcycle and it’s operator were in the middle of the highway and the operator had severe leg injuries possibly from being run over by an unknown third vehicle that left the scene, police said.  The unknown vehicle was identified as a black Sedan or black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

The operator of the 2012 Yamaha FZ8 motorcycle was identified as Duane Bone, 39, of Peterborough.  Bone was transported by AMR ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. Nashua Police Department, Nashua Fire Department and New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted at the scene. 

At this time the New Hampshire State Police are requesting the assistance of anyone who witnessed the crash in an attempt to locate the vehicle that drove over Mr. Bones' legs.  Contact Trooper Matthew Lapierre of the New Hampshire State Police Troop B in BedfordNH at 603-271-3636.
