Police: Woman Was Drunk, Disorderly

Merrimack police say Elisheva Galan was intoxicated and lost control after she, and the driver of the car she was in, became lost.

A Nashua woman was arrested in Merrimack on a slew of charges Saturday evening for a series of events in which she allegedly assaulted the driver of a car she was a passenger in, breaking a pair of eye glasses, cracking the windshield and attempting to stop him from calling police before fleeing the scene.

Elisheva Galan, 29, of 71 Palm St., Nashua, was charged by Merrimack Police with three counts of domestic simple assault, two counts of criminal mischief and obstructing the report of a crime.

Police say they were called to the Gulf station on Continental Boulevard in Merrimack at 5:56 p.m. on Saturday by the driver of the car who said Galan had assaulted him. He told police she was intoxicated and had become violent when they got lost.

The man's name was not released by police.

Galan allegedly punched the man several times, once striking him in the face and damaging his eye glasses. She then broke his glasses in two, kicked and cracked his windshield and when he called 911, he says she stuck her fingers in his mouth to keep him from talking.

Police say Galan was not in the car when they arrived and that they found her hiding at Papa Gino's next door.

Galan was arrested and released on $3,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the Merrimack district court on Dec. 4, to answer the charges.
