Audio Magnifies Duck Flap Involving Nashua State Rep

Recordings of police commissioner Tom Pappas calling Nashua Police on David Campbell's behalf may get the AG's attention.

More information has been released in the case of Nashua State Rep. David Campbell, who recently appeared in court to plead "no contest" to accusations he ran down five ducks at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

WMUR has released audio from a phone call made by Nashua Police Commissioner Tom Pappas to Nashua Police, who were looking for Campbell following the reported incident.

Said Pappas: "He is a friend of mine. He is at a friend's house. His phone died. I can – is it OK if I have him come to the station tomorrow morning?"

The Attorney General's Office said they normally require a written request prior to an investigation, and told WMUR no written complaint has yet been filed.

Campbell was ordered to pay a $695 fine, and said he would pay an additional $695 to the local Audubon Society.
