Look Who Rocked the Leopard Shoes!

Turns out it was a trick question!

We didn't know when we asked the shoe question this morning that we were about to break the fashion story of the year!

For the record, we spotted these fierce shoes on U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte on Oct. 25, 2011, when she appeared at her alma mater, Bicentennial Elementary School, for a town hall on the economy.

She wore them well.

After posting them for today's "Whose Shoes?" question, we got a few random guesses before hearing from Alderman Diane Sheehan via email – also for the record a snappy dresser – who said she would know those shoes anywhere: "Mayor Donnalee Lozeau wore them to be sworn in this year."

Say WHAT?

So we sent an emergency message to City Hall to confirm that Lozeau did indeed own the same exact shoes as Ayotte.

"Yes, we both have those shoes," said the Mayor.

The good news here is that Lozeau and Ayotte were not photographed wearing said identical leopard-print shoes to the same social event. That would have been quite a politically incorrect fashion moment.

Thanks for playing along!
