All four members of New Hampshire's federal delegation are safe and in lockdown following a shooting in Capitol Hill.

A spokesperson for U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said in an email that everyone in the Senator's office is fine.

U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster sent out a Tweet saying that she is safe.

"Staff and I are safely in my office and sheltering in place. Stay safe everyone," Kuster said in her Tweet.

U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter sent out a message on Twitter as well.

"I am safe inside the Capitol. Staff sheltering also," she said. "Praying for all. Grateful to our police force."

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte also Tweeted a message saying she and her staff are OK.

"My staff and I are safe," Ayotte said. "I am grateful to our brave first responders and my thoughts & prayers are with anyone who was injured."

The Capitol building was placed on lockdown just before 2:30 p.m., according to the Associated Press. The AP reports one Capitol police officer has been injured, and CNN reported the officer was air-lifted to the hospital. There were reports of multiple gunshots near the Senate Hart Office Building, and people were seen running, CNN reported. The lockdown was reportedly lifted shortly after 3 p.m.

"Lock down lifted," Kuster Tweeted around 3:15 p.m. "Thank you to the Capitol Police for keeping us safe - today and every day. Thoughts & prayers with anyone injured."
