Silva To Run in Ward 8 Special Election

Pete Silva will try to regain a seat in the NH House.

Republican Former State Representative Pete Silva announced his candidacy for the upcoming State House District 35 special election in Nashua’s Ward 8. Silva, a former House Majority Leader, filed his paperwork yesterday at Nashua City Hall.

“I am running to represent Nashua in the New Hampshire House because I want to bring fiscal responsibility back to Concord,” said Silva. “During my time in public office, I fought to protect the New Hampshire Advantage by reducing taxes, cutting spending, and crafting balanced budgets. I also fought efforts by the federal government to impose ObamaCare’s onerous regulations and job-killing tax hikes on New Hampshire. Today we are at a crossroads, and I want to return to Concord to ensure that our state government doesn’t lose touch with New Hampshire’s fiscally responsible values. “

Silva represented Nashua in the New Hampshire House from 2008–2012, serving as House Majority Whip and later as House Majority Leader. He works for Seacoast BIOMET a company that distributes orthopedic implants. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Nashua Republican City Committee and has lived in Nashua since 1988. Mr. Silva is married with 4 children.
