VIDEO: Romney Offers Perry $10K Bet

Pundits are calling it a flub on Romney's part.

Political observers are saying Mitt Romney made a blunder at a GOP debate tonight when he offered Rick Perry a $10,000 bet.

Perry argued Romney had deleted a line about making the Massachusetts universal healthcare plan a model for the rest of the nation in the paperback version of Romney's "No Apology" book.

Romney said he didn't, and challenged Perry to a $10,000 bet on the issue.

On Twitter, Democrats hopped on Romney for the comment, arguing it shows he's a millionaire out of touch with Main Street. The hashtag #what10Kbuys is now trending.

Out of all the idiotic things I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot, trying to make an issue out of Romney's bet makes the top ten. The amount was just an indication of how sure he is in his answer, and that's it. Talk about stupidity. With all that we have to deal with in this nation this kind of mumbo-jumbo is absurd, childish, and downright pathetic. The press needs to grow up.

The "gaffe", if one dares to call it that, has nothing to do with the $10000. It has to do with Romney saying on camera that he didn't remove the line, when in reality he did.

Jack, you should not make such sweeping generalizations about the press. You and I both know that there are highly respected and credible journalists who do fantastic work. I agree with you that this article is clearly written in desperation for attention, but you simply cannot blame the whole press on account of one shoddy journalist. Sheesh.

When getting health insurance I usually go through "Penny Health" website. The reason for this approach is because I get more personalized service and assistance. Once I went though ehealthinsurance and it offered no customer support.
