BAE Grant Boosts Nashua Education Foundation

The $5,000 grant will provide supplemental programming.

BAE Systems has awarded a $5,000 gift to the Nashua Education Foundation (NEF) to help support supplemental programs not covered by the existing school budget.

“We at the Foundation are excited by BAE’s support. This gift helps strengthen our ability to support innovative and enriching programs throughout the school district,” said Tim Hogan, chair of the group's fundraising committee. “These programs are not part of the school district’s operating budget, and as such have a tremendous impact on the educational offerings to students.”

NEF chairman Dr. Ron Kraus said the foundation's partnership with BAE is heartening.

“At a time when funding and revenue sources are scarce, and demands for competitive educational opportunities are on a steep rise, this gift will assure that certain educational enhancements and projects actually happen,” Kraus said.

“Supporting educational outreach efforts is critical to BAE Systems.” said Lu Goncalves-Getty, Director of Strategic Philanthropy at BAE Systems, “Our partnership with the Nashua Education Foundation is mutually beneficial, allowing BAE Systems to support our future workforce and helping the NEF enhance their offerings to area students.”
