Nashua's Student-Teacher Ratio Larger Than NH Average

The report indicated Nashua High School North and South are at or above NH average for preparing students for college.

The U.S. News & World Report's 2014 list of best high schools in the country notes that Nashua High School North and Nashua High School South have student/teacher ratios larger than the New Hampshire average.

The Nashua high schools, in one of the largest school districts in the state, were unranked in the report. The report analyzed school data and test results, among other "academic indicators."

Both schools were at or above the state average in the report's College Readiness Index.

The U.S. News & World Report overview:

"At Nashua High School North, students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Nashua High School North is 29 percent. The student body makeup is 52 percent male and 48 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 26 percent."

And,

"At Nashua High School South, students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Nashua High School South is 24 percent. The student body makeup is 52 percent male and 48 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 25 percent. Nashua High School South is 1 of 2 high schools in the Nashua School District."
