Frost on the Pumpkins Tonight?

Oh, the weather outside is always a good topic of discussion in NH.

Say what?

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for parts of Hillsborough County overnight.

The Frost Advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesday. Low temperatures in the mid-30s could damage sensitive plants and crops if they are left unprotected.

Nashua may escape the frost on the pumpkin this time around, but it's definitely a foreshadowing of things to come, so pick those lingering zucchini and pull out the driving gloves.

A Frost Advisory is issued when frost is expected to develop durin ghte growing season. Those with agricultural interests are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. Potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brough inside away from the cold.
