Winter Weather Advisory for Nashua Until 6 P.M.

Motorists should take heed of the winter weather advisory and drive with caution.

It's beginning to look a lot like winter.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Nashua, which means snow and/or rain is expected to create hazardous driving/walking conditions with a light accumulation.

The advisory remains in effect for most of interior Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, extending into northern Connecticut. Expect snow, sleet and freezing rain with accumulation of snow up to 2 inches and a trace of ice. Expected high temperature is 36 degrees.

Snow will change over to sleet and freezing rain from south to north until midday, eventually becoming rain in the afternoon, likely around 3 p.m.

NH DOT crews were out Sunday pretreating roadways, including the FE Everett Turnpike, in anticipation of the storm.

Motorists should be especially cautious on bridges and overpasses, and drive with caution, reducing your speed to below the speed limit – remember that the posted speed limit applies to good driving conditions only.
